Karin Carrara

Karin underviser balletskolens kreative danseforløb gennem Tivolis Skoletjeneste.

Andrew Bowman

Andrew Bowman’s career as a Principal Ballet Dancer has taken him across the globe – performing in approximately 50 different countries before Royalty, prestigious guests and influential patrons of the Arts.

His love of dance began as a young boy in New Zealand and subsequently was head hunted and brought to the Australian Ballet School at the age of 14. He was soon swooped up into the Company where his long guesting career began, performing in many countries such as China, Brazil, South Africa, the United States of America to mention just a few.

His love for the Bournonville tradition, their exquisite technique and unparalleled artistry in storytelling, led him to Denmark, where he flew through the ranks to become a Principle Dancer with the prestigious Royal Danish Ballet company at the early age of 22. Here he danced the leading roles in classic productions such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker and Don Quixote, and worked closely with all of the consecutive Directors including Maina Gielgud and Frank Andersen as well as having creations made on him by New York City Ballet Director Peter Martins, Bolshoi Ballet’s Director Alexei Ratmanksy and Royal Ballet’s resident choreographer Christopher Wheeldon.

In 2012, Bowman became a Guest Principal Artist where he was invited to travel and dance around the world performing with the many of the world’s top Ballet companies including New York City Ballet, Australian Ballet, The Royal New Zealand Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, National Finish Ballet, Bayerisches Staatsballet Munich and Bolshoi Ballet Galas, amongst other prestigious cultural events.

After 20 years as a professional dancer, Bowman decided he wanted to dedicate the next chapter of his carrier to passing on the vast amounts of artistic knowledge and experience acquired over several decades of complete emersion in the dramatic arts. His new found passion in teaching, challenges him to augment and solidify all the varied knowledge of different styles and techniques he has mastered himself as a dancer - and pass it on to the next generation.
